HiFU
SONORAMA is a HiFU device designed for various medical purposes including ptosis and skin laxity.

This innovative device is equipped with both a standard handpiece and a pen-type handpiece, providing practitioners with flexibility and precision to the desired treatment areas.
The standard handpiece allows for broad coverage, making it suitable for larger facial as well as body areas, while the pen-type handpiece offers a more detailed and focused application, ideal for small facial areas.
SMAS
The SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) layer is a fibrous tissue layer located beneath the skin and above the facial muscles, and it is a key component in facial support and contributes to facial contour and firmness.

HiFU targets the SMAS layer. When the focused ultrasound energy reaches the SMAS layer, it induces controlled thermal coagulation and denaturation of collagen fibers within this tissue which leads to immediate contraction and tightening of the SMAS layer, resulting in a lifting effect on the skin above. Additionally, the heat generated stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibers over time, further enhancing skin firmness and elasticity.

In comparison to other energy-based devices, HiFU effectively penetrates deep enough and precisely targets the SMAS layer.
